Who is the training aimed at?

This course is suitable for anyone with responsibility for managing employees in the workplace, such as managers, supervisors and your in-house HR team.

What are the benefits of attending the course?

To be able to identify when there is a risk of an unfair dismissal or discrimination claim and to understand how to effectively handle dismissals to minimise risk. To have the knowledge to understand what payments employees are entitled to when their employment is terminated.

What will the delegates get from the course?

Delegates will be able to identify what is a potentially fair reason to dismiss and to lead a dismissal process appropriate to the specific circumstances and in line with Acas best practice where relevant. They will gain experience, knowledge and understanding regarding the value of conducting consistent and fair dismissal procedures. It will provide them with the skills and knowledge needed  to manage and conduct dismissal procedures in the workplace. 

How long is the course and how is it delivered?

We offer both half day (up to 3 hours) and full day (up to 6 hours) training sessions. We can deliver training sessions at your premises, an off-site location or at NFU Headquarters in Warwickshire (CV8 2TZ). We can also deliver remote training sessions. Courses can be arranged in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
