Employment Service Manager
Sanjay has been working for the NFU since September 2013. His role is to manage the NFU Employment Service membership on a day-to-day basis ensuring all elements of the service are running smoothly for our members. He is also responsible for looking after both our existing and prospective members, ensuring we have a full understanding of their business, allowing us to provide a bespoke and high-quality level of employment law support.
Lara Beech
Legal & Technical Team Leader
Lara has nearly 30 years’ experience providing employment advice, guidance and support. She joined the NFU in April 2016 and for the last 5 years as Team Leader is responsible for leading on NFU Employment Service ensuring the delivery of a professional and high quality service.
Karen Jones
Legal & Technical Team Leader
Karen joined the NFU in March 2019 as a Legal & Technical Adviser bringing with her at the time, over 18 years’ experience of providing employment law and delivering training. Karen became a Team Leader in December 2022 where she still continues to provide employment advice and training, plus support to the rest of the team.
Jeffrey Bradshaw
Legal & Technical Team Leader
Jeffrey joined the Legal & Technical Advice Team in August 2019 and from April 2023 has been a Team Leader. He has spent 43 years working as a lawyer both in private practice and for several major commercial organisations bringing a huge amount of experience. Jeffrey plays an active role in providing legal and practical advice and consultancy support, helping our members manage the challenges of being an employer.
Priya Sheth
Legal & Technical Adviser
Priya has been with the NFU since 2007. She has a breadth of experience from telephone advice work, reviewing/drafting employment law documents such as contracts, policies and Settlement Agreements. She has visited our members on-site for 1-2-1 meetings as well as delivered several presentations on employment law related topics.
Balvinder Budesha
Legal & Technical Adviser
Balvinder is a qualified employment solicitor and joined the NFU in September 2020 as a Legal & Technical Adviser. She provides advice and consultancy support on a variety of employment law matters, ranging from reviewing and drafting contracts of employment, handbooks, policies and procedures to providing hands on support and guidance on disciplinaries, grievances, redundancies, settlement agreements, long term sickness absence procedures to name but a few.
Chandra Bhogaita
Legal & Technical Adviser
Chandra specialises in giving advice in employment law with many years of experience and has been working for the NFU as a Legal & Technical Adviser since 2019. Chandra also sits as a lay judge at the HMRC Employment Tribunals and has been doing so for 14 years. This role vastly enhances his employment law knowledge which in turn benefits our members in terms of the quality advice and support Chandra is able to provide.
Sarah Davoile
Legal & Technical Adviser
Sarah has worked for the NFU since 2012. She is a qualified solicitor advising on a number of legal areas but with a strong interest in employment law. Sarah uses her experience to provide advice, guidance and consultancy support tailored to the specific needs of each member.
Mandeep Phanasan
Legal & Technical Adviser
Mandeep has 16 years’ experience providing employment advice and has worked for the NFU since 2013. In addition to advising on the Helpline, Mandy facilitates clients by drafting bespoke employment documentation to meet their business needs.
Raj Johal
Legal & Technical Adviser
Raj has 24 years’ experience providing employment law advice to a variety of businesses including multi-national companies. He joined the NFU in June 2024 and provides advice on the employment law challenges that members face with their staff alongside providing consultancy support and drafting articles for member publications.
Rebecca Booth
Legal & Technical Adviser
Rebecca joined the NFU in 2017 and has nearly 30 years’ experience providing telephone based private and commercial legal advice covering a wide range of areas of law. As a Legal & Technical Adviser specialising in Employment Law her role includes reviewing and drafting employment documents, writing articles for our publications alongside providing advice, guidance and support across all aspects of employment on the Helpline.
Elizabeth Fripp
Legal & Technical Adviser
Elizabeth is a solicitor with over 20 years’ experience as a lawyer giving employment advice and support to a wide variety of employers in private practice and in commercial and volunteer-led organisations. Before qualifying as a solicitor she worked in the automotive industry, giving her a good perspective on the commercial realities of running a business as well as the legal. She joined the NFU in 2021.
